| During the Roasting Foundation training you have gained the necessary basic knowledge and insight into the roasting process. In the Roasting Intermediate course we build on this knowledge. We go deeper into all roasting phases. You will do various roasts. You will learn more about the flavour aspects of roasting and how to recognize roast defects by taste.

| Examination | ||||
| Het Intermediate praktijkexamen vindt plaats op de laatste lesdag. Heb je het praktijkexamen gehaald en wil je ook het SCA certificaat behalen? Dan kan je na afloop van de training thuis het online SCA theorie-examen doen. Met de kennis die je tijdens de training opdoet, ben je in staat om het theorie-examen te halen. Excellent training! I attended the Roasting Intermediate course with Paul, and it exceeded all my expectations. I thought I was well prepared, but the course gave me countless “aha” moments and completely expanded my perspective on coffee roasting. I’ve been working professionally in coffee for around three years as a barista and café owner, but this training took my understanding of roasting, coffee development, and sensory analysis to a whole new level. What impressed me most was the individual approach. Complex topics were explained in a practical and engaging way, making them easy to understand and immediately applicable. I left with a huge amount of knowledge that I can directly implement in my business. I highly recommend ITC Academy and will definitely return for further training programs in the future. Paul heeft veel en een brede koffie ervaring en legt alles rustig en goed uit. Hij houdt de structuur erin, bouwt veel tijd in om zelf te branden, meten en proeven. Hij behandelt alle onderwerpen en maakt de training gezellig met veel extra verhalen en tijd om samen te proeven en over koffie te praten. Best way to start the year is with coffee, a roaster and an amazing AST like Paul Tinhout. I have gained so much more knowledge than just the Roasting Course I signed up for. Definitely worth it! Created such an amazing impact in my experience at ITC Academy and would highly recommend to listen to his stories that are overflowing with wisdom in the coffee industry. The training was phenomenal! Paul created a great learning atmosphere and went into the weeds of every question. The training is, of course, particularly valuable in its practical side (since most of the theory is not so difficult to find online), playing with a different roaster is a great way of testing the concepts. Een geweldige sfeer waar je mee wordt genomen in de wondere wereld van de koffie en het roasten. Er is aandacht en tijd voor eigen inbreng en vragen en er wordt op een hele leuke heldere manier aandacht geschonken aan de theorie van het roasten. Ook is er aandacht voor literatuur en komen de tips over tools, boeken, personen je om de oren vliegen. Trainer Paul ademt koffie en deelt de passie op een super energieke en passende manier!
