Course Brewing Intermediate

Algemeen
ITC Academy’s Brewing Intermediate training course focuses on the extraction process and the technical approach to coffee. This training course is also very interesting if you work in the coffee machine market. We explain how to adjust these types of machines. With automatic machines, it is important to make extraction and taste objectively measurable, so that the machine always produces coffee with the same consistent taste.

Coffee is chemistry! We discover how many soluble substances we actually extract from ground coffee and whether this is enough or too much. You taste the influence of particle size (and composition) on flavour. You learn what the six basic elements of coffee are. But also how to measure the result and how to map it. Water plays an important role in this!

By the end of the Brewing Intermediate training, the chemistry behind coffee will hold no more secrets for you!

For this training, you can apply for the internationally recognised SCA Brewing Intermediate exam.
